The National Park Lake Neusiedl-Seewinkel was formed in 1939 and is the fundamental core of the protected areas in Burgenland. The fruitful cooperation of nature conservation, agriculture and tourism has lead to the enduring maintenance of a unique natural and cultural landscape. A comprehensive visitor’s programme with numerous exhibitions and guided walks is available for those interested.
